Nicholas Basily (DES*)

Born on 29 October 1955, Nicholas grew up in an English family in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, becoming fully bilingual. He attended bilingual schools in Cordoba and Buenos Aires as well as the School of Languages (University of Cordoba) in the city of Cordoba. He worked as an English teacher in several schools, one of which was Saint Anne's School, Cordoba, where he went on to direct the English Department from 1983 to 1995. In 1996 he formed ComputEnglish Center to devote himself more specifically to the development of educational software and the use of IT (information technology) for EFL teaching, while he taught small groups of students, preparing them mainly for the international Cambridge and TOEFL (now iBT) exams. At the same time, he has built up an important network of clients for translations, both in Argentina and abroad.
